A non-profit organization that aids pregnant women in remote, marginalized communities.
I worked closely with Mimsi over the course of several weeks to completely redesign an already existing site from the ground up. The new design was to be more visually compelling and semi-interactive, featuring pop-up maps and many clickable elements. I made the decision to make this site with the modular page builder, Beaver Builder, which gave me the flexibility to customize the site to his specifications while also ensuring that he is capable of making changes of his own in the future.
Mimsi is doing incredible work in Haiti and soon across the world with their program. The mission is led by Dr. Wilfred Tovar, a medical doctor whose family hails from Haiti. The goal is to ensure the safe passage for woman from pregnancy through childbirth and into motherhood. By utilizing mobile technology and high impact training, Mimsi is able to change entire communities for the better and in only the course of a few weeks.
Update: It pains me to say it, but unfortunately due to the pandemic Mimsi's operation came to a halt in April of 2020 and the organization has remained inactive since. As a result, their site has been taken offline.
